the unit. 友達A: ねえ、みか、ちょっとお金貸してもらえないかな、今日。 Nee, Mika, chotto okane kashite
moraenaikana, kyou. ‘Hey, Mika, can you lend me some
money today?’ 友達B: えー、いくら? Ee, ikura? ‘What? How much?’ 友達A: あの、3000円なんだけど。 Ano, sanzen en nandakedo. ‘Well, 3000
yen.’ 友達B: うーん、今月はね、私もちょっと厳しいの。 Uun, kongetsuwane, watashimo chotto kibishiino. ‘Well, my budget is a little tight this month, too.’ 友達A:うーん、そこをなんとかならないかな。
