tiishatsu yoku nikatteru janai.  ‘Oh,
your T-shirt looks good on you.’  従業員:あ、そうですか。いやあ、このTシャツ昔行ってたアメリカの大学のTシャツなんですよ。A, soudesuka. 
Iyaa, kono tiishatsu
mukashi itteta amerikano daigakuno tiishatsu nandesuyo.   ‘Oh, really? 
It’s a T-shirt from an American college I used to go to.’ 上司:ふーん。 
Fuun.  ‘I see.’ 従業員:まあ、すごくね気にいってるんですけど、ちょっと古いんですよね。 Maa,
sugokune kini itterun desukedo, chotto furuin desuyone.   ‘Well, I like it a lot, but it’s getting a bit old.’ 上司:そう、ゆうじ君は英語もできるの、すごいわね。 
Sou, Yuuji-kunwa eigomo dekiruno, sugoiwane.  ‘Oh, really, you speak English too.  I’m impressed.’ 従業員:いやいや、それほどでもないですよ。 
Iyaiya, sore hodo demo naidesuyo.
 ‘Oh, no, (I do) not (speak it) too
