Summer 2022 Credit Tuition and Fees Schedule

The chart below outlines the tuition and fees non-degree-seeking students are most likely to pay when they register for graduate-level credit for one of the CARLA summer institutes through the University of Minnesota (UMN). This is in addition to the initial registration cost for a CARLA summer institute on a non-credit basis.

• Non-degree-seeking students are those who are not enrolled in a UMN degree program. Participants who have been accepted following certificate programs: Advanced Practices in Second Language Teaching Certificate or Dual Language and Immersion Education Certificate pay the tuition and fees shown below, but are eligible to pay the lower UMN student rate for the initial registration cost of the CARLA summer institute. • UMN degree-seeking students will pay tuition and fees according to their particular status at the University of Minnesota. Learn more on the One Stop website or contact your department if you have questions.

2022 Summer Tuition for Non-Degree-Seeking Students
Departmental Masters Tuition Rate (CEHD–College of Education and Human Development)	$743.00 per credit	Charged for non-degree-seeking students taking graduate-level courses through CEHD whether in-state or out-of-state. Includes courses with CI and LgTT designators.
2022 Fees
Collegiate Fee (CEHD)	$95 (2–5 credits) $190 (6+ credits)	Applies to all CARLA summer institutes offered for graduate-level credit.
Transportation and Safety Fee	$26.00 per registration	Applies to all students.

Billing

• Tuition, fees, and all other charges on the bill you receive by email are due in full by the first billing due date. Billing statements received after the first billing cycle must be paid in full by the due date indicated on the bill. 
• All non-degree-seeking students will be given an University of Minnesota email and will need to set up their UM email account in order to receive a bill.
