Culture and Languages Across the Curriculum (CLAC) Materials Clearinghouse

What is the Clearinghouse?

The Clearinghouse is an interactive collection of CLAC-related, peer-reviewed materials curated by CARLA and the Consortium for Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum.

Background of the Clearinghouse

Over the past several years there have been repeated calls for sharing and accessing current CLAC-oriented materials. Following discussions at several CLAC conferences efforts began in earnest in 2015 to create such a resource. Under the leadership of CARLA at the University of Minnesota, representatives from member institutions formed an advisory board and an online survey of CLAC members provided direction for this project. The collaborative process resulted in the Clearinghouse which was introduced at the 2016 CLAC Conference at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Searching for CLAC Materials and Engaging with the CLAC Community

The Clearinghouse contains resources for many different contexts, useful for those new to CLAC, veteran CLAC practitioners, instructors, and administrators.

Browse the collection: there are syllabi, activities, program level descriptions of models and implementation, assessments, and more.
The Clearinghouse also provides a forum for further online discussion of specific materials or for general topics.

Submissions

The CLAC Clearinghouse invites submissions of all CLAC-related materials.

To begin the submission process, login or create an account.

The advisory board will consider the materials and will guide the process through any needed revisions. Once fully accepted, the materials will be published as a permanent part of the Clearinghouse for others to access.
