Checklist for self-assessment on technology use
Self-assessment Checklist for Web Browsing:
Searching, Evaluating, Saving and Citing
During the first day of teaching the unit, each student will be asked to complete the following checklist, which will identify potential problem areas related to using web browsing to search, evaluate, save and cite. This checklist was extracted from the CoBaLTT website and adapted. The original version designed for teachers is available at: http://www.carla.umn.edu/cobaltt/techresources/cklist-present.html
The students will need to work on the areas they are not familiar with (the unchecked categories below). By the end of the unit, this checklist should be completely filled out and submitted to the teacher.
If you need help with any of the following, see the "Resources for HyperStudio" (HS) or "Resources for PowerPoint" (PPt) for tutorials.
(N) refers to Netscape, (IE) refers to Internet Explorer
Indicate the areas you are familiar with by placing a marking in the empty boxes in the following way þ
